As part of our activities for Celebrate Literacy Week, FL! last week, students in grades K-2 enjoyed hearing stories read aloud by our guest readers from the Rotary Club: Melisa Jahner, Toni Wiersma, Jacque Claxton, Heather Bohannon, Dawn Lawrence, and Stephanie Busbin. We were also joined by Missy Carol Marker, a former student, who read aloud to Ms. Amanda’s class, Mrs. H. Moore’s class, and Mrs. Crosby’s class. Literacy Week Fun! We had the BEST time celebrating the last day of Literacy Week with a Vocabulary Parade! Students and staff dressed up as a vocabulary word and had a parade to showcase their word! 🌟🥳🔠📚 #OkeeSEMfamily #VisibleLearning #StallionScholars

Literacy Week Activities: Students from the older grade levels came to read with classes in our younger grade levels! Students also read to stuff buddies to continue with our school wide initiative of read aloud a lot!
