Okeechobee Virtual School

Earlier this morning, at one of our schools, an individual was overheard making a concerning comment.

The incident and those involved are currently under investigation.

As a precautionary measure, the Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office has increased patrols at all public and private schools throughout the county.

At this time, there is no immediate danger to students or staff members.

We remain committed to ensuring the safety of our schools and will continue to keep the community informed as additional information becomes available.
