We’re thrilled to announce that our new Driver of the Week is Mrs. Emily Streelman! 🎉
She was nominated by Ms. Anderson, who shared these sweet words:
“Emily has a rare superpower: she makes coming to work feel less like work and more like a daily dose of fun. Whether it’s her witty remarks, her contagious energy, or her uncanny ability to know exactly what needs to be done (and then do it flawlessly), Emily keeps the school both productive and entertained. She somehow manages to check off tasks with laser focus while making us laugh along the way—a combination that is nothing short of magical. Simply put, work is better, brighter, and way more enjoyable because Emily is in the mix. Our NES team is lucky to have her, and I can’t think of anyone more deserving of this recognition.”
Mrs. Streelman, your positive energy keeps our Energy Bus rolling strong! 🚌✨
Congratulations and thank you for making North Elementary a brighter, happier place! 💙💛

Our 1st 9 weeks PBIS Bash is Friday and any students eligible to attend will have the opportunity to purchase a treat from Kona Ice! Please be sure to send CASH with your student if they are interested in purchasing.

NES Families, we’re getting ready for our Spooktacular on October 28th (5:30-7:30) and would love a little help from those who’d like to contribute! We’re collecting bags of individually wrapped candy to make the event even more fun for our students.
If you’d like to donate, please send candy with your child or drop it off at the front office by October 27.
Thank you for helping make this event a sweet success! 🧡🖤 #NESTigers #Spooktacular

When students show up every day, they build skills and confidence to succeed!
🙌Attendance always matters, but October 6–10 is extra important! This week, the state takes its official enrollment snapshot, which helps determine school funding for the year.
✅ Students in class = accurate count = the right funding to keep our district strong and full of opportunities for our kids.
🌟Let’s make this week count- every student, every day, because it makes a difference!

This week’s Driver of the Week is Ms. Tamara Sandlin, nominated by Dr. Alexandria Faircloth! 🎉
Dr. Faircloth shared:
“Tamara, you are truly driving your bus with positive energy every day! Even with the busyness of life and the challenges that come your way, you continue to stay productive and positive. Your enthusiasm and uplifting attitude brighten the journey for everyone around you. You keep your vision in focus, invite others on board with kindness, and help create a culture of teamwork and encouragement. By choosing positivity and not letting negativity take over, you inspire others to do the same. Most importantly, your positive energy shines throughout the school, making it a happier and more welcoming place for students and staff. Thank you for fueling our team with optimism, dedication, and joy—you make the ride so much better!”
Congratulations, Ms. Sandlin! 🐯💛 Your positive energy keeps the North Elementary bus rolling strong!

On Wednesdays, we wear pink during Breast Cancer Awareness Month! 💕
🎀School community- join us in showing support and spreading awareness by wearing pink each Wednesday throughout October.
🎀Together, we honor and remember those who have faced breast cancer, and support those currently affected by breast cancer. Let’s fill our schools with a sea of pink this month. Nobody fights alone 💗

📚Before you book that trip, check out our student holiday schedule! Scheduling vacations during school breaks helps keep students learning, growing, and on track for success all year long. 💪

Please join us in giving them a BIG Tiger thank you! 🐯👏

Congratulations to our newest Driver of the Week — Ms. Gaus! 🎉🚌
She was nominated by Mrs. Bockoras, who shared these wonderful remarks:
"Ms. Gaus is always willing to give her energy and expertise to move the bus in the right direction. She is the OPPOSITE of an energy vampire. She is so flexible and willing to try new things. (She's becoming quite the AI advocate as well 😁). I wish everyone had her attitude! If Ms. Gaus is driving the bus, I want to be on it!"
👏👏 Thank you, Ms. Gaus, for your positivity, energy, and leadership. NES is so lucky to have you on our Energy Bus!
